There are some weeks when it feels as though everything is asking us to notice a little more closely. This has been one of those weeks for me. The garden has struggled through a continued stretch of dry weather, the forecast has become part of my daily routine, and yet, despite what isn't growing, I've found myself feeling surprisingly grateful. An early morning dog walk and ocean dip before breakfast. The horses nickering when they hear my back door open. Fresh kale for dinner. Friends stopping by the shop. The quiet excitement of opening the kiln to discover a color I couldn't quite have imagined. It has reminded me that abundance isn't always about having more. Sometimes it's simply about noticing what is already here.

This week's Color Drop is Abundance, a luminous green layered over cool blue-gray light. As the glass shifts and changes throughout the day, it becomes the perfect reminder that beauty often reveals itself slowly, rewarding those who take the time to look a little longer.

Perhaps abundance isn't "more than enough" after all. Perhaps it is simply recognizing that, even in an imperfect season, there is enough.

Studio Notes

I'm going to keep this week's newsletter short because, quite honestly, I'm running on empty. Between a busy week in the store and studio, time in the garden, caring for the animals, and trying to keep up with summer itself, I seem to have reached the point where a good night's sleep sounds like the most productive thing I could do.

So, for today, this is all I've got. I hope you find a little time this week to rest, recharge, and notice a bit of abundance in your own corner of the world.
