There's a certain extravagance to October that I love. A tree I barely noticed all summer suddenly turns brilliant orange, a handful of red leaves on the ground makes me stop for a closer look, and a regular trip into town offers reasons to pause. Just this morning on my walk, the view over the creek felt newly vivid - the grasses changing colors, the sharpness of the water, and a salty briskness in the air. There was frost on the windshield this morning which I wasn't quite prepared for. Fortunately, it was nothing the windshield wipers couldn't take care of. No need for ice scrapers yet!

Inside WindHorse Arts the color celebration continues. Both the store and website are full of gorgeous jewelry, and I think part of the fun is seeing which color catches your eye. You might arrive with a favorite in mind and leave a little smitten with something entirely unexpected.

At the moment, Main Street is in the midst of some fairly major construction. It may look a little daunting, but WindHorse Arts remains open and accessible.

My Fall hours are Friday & Saturday, 11:00 to 3:00 and always available by appointment.

A little update on Pretty: the vet will be back in two weeks to assess her progress, and we’ll make decisions about her next steps then. Thank you to everyone who responded to my request for support with Pretty’s care by purchasing jewelry. Every order continues to help, and knowing that my dear old pony and I have so many people cheering us on means more than I can say.
