This week’s color drop feels like waking up slowly on a good morning.

A few years ago I was out for my usual morning walk with Geege past the creek heading to Lane’s Island when the sky turned this unbelievable mix of soft apricot, pale pink, warm gold, and flashes of coastal blues and greens. The kind of sunrise that makes you forget whatever you were supposed to be thinking about.

The Apricot Dawn bracelet wraps the wrist in soft sunrise color. Warm apricot, rosy pink, and golden tones move gently through the glass while flashes of cool green and blue add depth and that hazy coastal feeling inspired by early morning along the creek.

Design Your Own Workshops

Design Your Own Workshops are back for the summer and dates are already beginning to fill. Gather a group of 5–10 people and spend a few hours cutting, layering, and playing with color while creating your own fused glass pieces here on Vinalhaven.

These workshops are relaxed, creative, beginner-friendly, and always full of good conversation, laughter, and a little bit of magic when everyone realizes what they can make. If you’re interested in scheduling a private workshop for family and or friends, reach out and we’ll find a date that works.

This week on the blog I’m reflecting on what it means to run a small business in a small seasonal community for twenty-five years, inspired by the opening of the 25th season of New Era Gallery and my friend Elaine Crossman. WindHorse Arts is one of my favorite places to buy jewelry. The colors are unique and there is something for everyone.
