The Story of the Color

Early March on the island carries a quiet kind of light. The harbor often looks cool and still, blue-green water resting under a pale sky. But when the sun breaks through for even a moment, the surface wakes up — flashes of warmth slipping across the tide before the clouds return.

Bands of cool teal move across the glass like harbor water in late winter, while a seam of warm copper glows just beneath the surface. Turn the piece in the light and the colors shift, revealing that quiet meeting of cold sea and hidden warmth.

A small reflection of harbor light, held in glass.

About the Jewelry

Each piece in the Cold Harbor collection is handcrafted in my Vinalhaven studio using fused dichroic glass. The glass captures and reflects light in shifting layers of color, making every stone unique. These limited color run pieces are created in small batches and offered in earrings, necklaces, bracelets, petite pendants, and candy drops.
