Gathering Light Calendar

$285.00

Gathering Light is a calendar of small discoveries: thirty-one glass stones to unwrap one day at a time, handmade glass plate to enjoy long afterward, and five surprises with a little of my own life tucked inside.

At the center are thirty-one glass stones, each chosen from my studio collection. As you open them, gather them in the glass plate included with your calendar. Watch the colors collect, turn a stone in your hand, and listen to the gentle clink of glass against glass. When the unwrapping is finished, the dish and stones become something to keep close—a little collection of color on your desk, bedside table, or wherever you pause during the day.

You’ll also find a Clarity circle necklace and a little glass suncatcher to hang in your window. Everything is presented in a handmade wooden berry basket, ready to give to someone you love or keep for yourself.

The five surprises draw on things I love: family, words, growing things, the night sky, and the small discoveries that come home with me from morning walks.

What is included:

Thirty-one glass stones, individually enclosed in envelopes
One circle Clarity necklace
One glass dish to hold your stones
One little glass suncatcher
Five surprises
One handmade wooden berry basket

Want a peek at the five surprises:

a copy of my grandmother’s tourtière recipe—a French Canadian meat pie from her kitchen
a poem about gathering light
poppy seeds collected from my garden, with planting and care directions
an invitation to step outside and spend a little time looking at the night sky
a stone found on one of my morning walks

Every piece begins as sheets of colored glass and is carefully handcrafted in my studio on Vinalhaven Island, Maine. Because each firing produces its own unique interplay of color and light, no two pieces are exactly the same. The calendar you receive will closely resemble the photographs shown while carrying its own distinctive character.
